Bug Description

Steps to reproduce (requries authenticated proxy):

1. Open Network Proxy
2. Select "Manual Proxy configuration"
3. Enter HTTP proxy host and port
4. Click "Details"
5. Check "Use Authentication"
6. Enter user/pass
7. Click Close
8. Click Close
9. Open a new terminal
10. "echo $http_proxy"

Note that it only contains http://host:port/, not the user and password. This affects anything spawned within gnome.

I'm on Dapper, suggested workaround is to use options within your apps for authenticated proxies.

Suggested fix is to use the "http://user:pass@host:port" (works with wget and w3m, not synaptic).

It's been broken for years. Why would I care?
