gnome-terminal fails for root user

Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
when in root,gnome-terminal 2.25.x fails,error message is:"Failed to contact the GConf daemon; exiting."
but in other user or 2.24.x normally.
when I run: gksu -d -S gnome-terminal
result is:

Same problem here. I switched to Jaunty and the super user console doesn't work any more.
