Bug Description
Today i installed a fresh copy of Intrepid ibex expecting to resolve this same problems from 8.04
However on a fresh install, the first thing I tried was to open up terminal and press the up arrow on my keypad to cycle through to the previous command. I know there is no previous command but this was the only way i know that can mimic this freezing! This only happens if there are no more previous commands. The computer just freezes and i have to reset the computer.. This only happend in 8.04 and now 8.10 All previous versions where perfect on my laptop.
There have been other situations where it has frozen but i am unable to mimic these. It has happened once already when i was trying to edit the summary box on this bug report!

Thank you for you bug report. Is this still occuring for you? If so can you try the behaviour in a text terminal (ctrl-alt-F1) and other terminal emulators (e.g. xterm). Does this occur in Ubuntu 9.04?
