Bug Description

My system is: Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 Desktop Edition

I'm found that antialiasing of fonts does not work in GNOME Terminal. I'm try to set antialiasing of fonts via System - Preferences - Appearance -Fonts - Subpixel Smoothing (for LCD), and fonts smoothing very well in all applications, except GNOME Terminal. Fonts in it remain same, as well as before smoothing.
In Gutsy Gibbon this option worked without problems.

For example, here is screenshot of fonts in GNOME Terminal in Gutsy Gibbon (7.10) (after applying subpixel smoothing)
