key events goes to different windows depending on the key

Not sure it's a gnome-terminal issue, however I have this one with using gnome-terminal. I have never seen this type of bug before. It's up-to-date 32 bit hardy, gnome-terminal version is 2.22.0-0ubuntu1. Sometimes I have a terminal window focused but key events go into another window! And the strange: I've just had the situation when cursor move keys and eg page up/down keys worked in the current window, but other keys produced output in ANOTHER window even if it's on the current workspace or at another one. Also (not known it's related or not) I have issue with full screen window (it's a full screen gnome-terminal): gnome panel sometimes shown before it, I have to use alt-tab to "reselect" the full screen window to raise. If it counts, version of metacity is 2.22.0-0ubuntu1, version of libvte9 is 0.16.13-1ubuntu1.

Can't reproduce anymore, I guess some of the upgrades fixed the problem.
