When you want to select a monospace font in gnome-terminal's profile editor, it does not always show the regular font but rather an arbitrarily chosen one. The proposed gtk+3.0 upload cherry picks an upstream commit which fixes it.

The proposed gnome-terminal upload reverts an upstream commit, which means that all weights/styles for monospace fonts are shown. It takes us back to how it works in focal.

[Where problems could occur]
This is a one liner in gnome-terminal and does not affect other applications. So given a successful verification of the test case, this ought to be a safe change.

Please note that this particular change has not been made in hirsute. The reason is that we intend to follow upstream there, which means that the issue will be resolved through changes in gtk and pango.
