ps output wrapping problems

Bug Description

the default output of running "ps" seems to add blank lines below lines that
extend off the edge of the terminal.

This doesn't happen here; are you using any custom themes/fonts/etc.?

I assume you're running current Hoary?

Sorry. Yeah, I'm running a current Hoary system. No custom fonts or themes or
anything, and I get the same problem with aterm. I don't get this problem either
on my i386 laptop, only on this amd64 machine.

Yeah, I still get the same problem. I tried using zsh and it also exhibits the
same behaviour.
