Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

When I click on a Link which is a Message-ID in Usenet-Postings, the Gnome-Terminal crashes:
Example:

The newsreader shows this line in a posting:

"T-Online-Team" <T-Online-Team@t....com> schrieb im Newsbeitrag
news:<email address hidden>...

Then I right-click on "news:..." ("Link open") and the gnome-Terminal chrashes. This error is
repeatable.

Thanks for your bug report. I can confirm that this bugs occurs with gnome-terminal 2.18.0-0ubuntu1 on an up-to-date i386 Ubuntu 7.04.

I can confirm it too; all open terminal windows crash.

OK sorry about that Sebastien. I couldn't find any docs about what it requires so I thought I'd just try it.

Also I've reported this bug in the gnome bugzilla and linked this bug to it. I hope I've done it right, the interface is very confusing/uninformative.

I am not a developer, but I'm try to start the gnome-terminal with the GNUDebugger. That's the result:

** ERROR **: file terminal-screen.c: line 1479 (open_url): should not be reached
aborting...

The bug seems to be reproducible with any link of the form news:foo@bar
