Bug Description
Ubuntu 12.10
gnome-terminal 3.6.0-0ubuntu1
Already posted on Answers by someone other than me, but I couldn't find a bug for it.
gnome-terminal will not stay resized when I click away from it. I can maximize and un-maximize, but if I drag the corner or edge to resize, it will immediately revert back to its previous size when I select a new window.
Steps to reproduce, from Richard George, which are the same as mine:
To reproduce:
- Open a single terminal (CTRL-ALT-T or similar)
- Stretch the window [1]
- Switch to any other app (click on it or alt-tab)
- - Terminal window will NOT resize
- Return to the new teminal window
- Add a new tab (Shift-CTRL-T or similar)
- Switch to any other app (click on it or alt-tab)
- - Terminal window will still NOT resize
- Return to the new teminal window (now with 2 tabs)
- Stretch the window [2]
- Switch to any other app (click on it or alt-tab)
- - Terminal window WILL revert to the size it was before you added a tab to it.
- - Expected behavior: Terminal will retain size set by last resize [2] until the user stretches it again to a different size. Size attained by resize in [1] should be forgotten.
