--- connected successfully to the network. /etc/network/interfaces still has no configuration on eth1 and remains the same as when roaming was first enabled. Unfortunately for the purposes of this test the networkmanager applet was already configured with ESSID and the key for the network previously. Although it seems the problem is with network-admin, so this should be a moot problem. ---
