Here's the whole content of /var/log/user.log on a Karmic Beta LiveCD, when creating a new user called user1, then playing an audio file with Totem as Live Session user, then switching to user1 - sound from Live Session user stops at gdm login - then playing an audio file with Totem as user1m switching back to LS user, audio from user1 still plays, and file previously playing in LS user is blocked with Totem unresponding, then when file from user1 finishes playing Totem in LS user restarts playing when it had stopped.

Note that I've been able to reproduce the bug on Intel ICH10 EP45 DS4 motherboard, on a Pentium 4 laptop and on an Athlon64 motherboard, all using onboard audio, With either Live CD sessions or from scratch clean installs updated to this day, and since I started testing Karmic at Alpha4 release day.
