Bug Description

I notice that modem_applet uses its own /etc/chatscripts/ppp0 . Wouldn't it be nice for modem_applet to be able to use provider from pppconfig, as well as use its configuration mechanism for maintaining the PPP interface?

Thanks for your bug report. Could you please tell me which version of gnome-applets you use and where you find the information about /etc/chatscripts/ppp0? Neither gnome-applets nor gnome-system-tools (which does the network configuration for modem_applet) do ship it. (It might rather be a gnome-system-tools bug).

I'm using gnome-applets 2.12.1-0ubuntu1 from Breezy, and the /etc/chatscripts/ppp0 came from the way modem_applet and network-admin configures the modem.

Yes, this might be more of a bug for gnome-system-tools, as modem_applet calls network-admin for its Properties.

hmmmmmmmmm, could you try to investigate, where these chatscripts come from?
