Bug Description

System -> Administration -> Services does not have an horizontal scroll bar, so
you have to resize the window to see the full entries. This is counter-intuitive.

Hi, is this still an issue in Dapper or Edgy?

This is easily reproducible, just open the Services Manager & resize the window to its smallest. Alot of the service names can not be fully seen.

I've just committed upstream a change so that descriptions don't get wider than the dialog. This way we no longer need an horizontal scrollbar, which is a very poor workaround. So this will be fixed with 2.29.90, for Lucid.

Fix released upstream with the gnome-system-tools 2.29.90. (Even if the upstream task is not updated correctly.)
