shares-admin crashes when trying to add a folder

Bug #1791786 reported by Morpheus

This bug affects 5 people
Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu)
Confirmed
Undecided

Bug Description

Control panel - shared folders. I unlock the app (using the unlock button), click the "add" button to add a folder to the shared folders section. The program simply closes, no apport crash message.

If I run 'shares-admin' from the cli, it also simply closes at the same stage with a "segmentation fault (core dumped)" message.

no longer affects: ubuntu-mate

I'm still new to bug reporting, bare with me !

You say it no longer effects ubuntu-mate, yet I still have this problem
after havibg installed latest updates today. Am I missing something ?
