Upstream (I) no longer maintains the g-s-t for several years, and the git repository has even been archived. XUbuntu needs to find another user management tool based on accountsservice.
BTW, this bug lacks a proper backtrace to be of any use.
Thanks Milan for this information.
David, please try to obtain a backtrace following the instructions at http://

I've seen the same bug.
Hope the attached actually is the backtrace you want
Since the uploaded crash contained a CoreDump, which will potentially have sensible information, I have created a new version with the dump been removed.
Elfy; please remove the crash you have uploaded, so I can mark this bug as public again.
Oh, Elfy, I just realized I could delete your attachment myself; so there's no need you to do so.

It's a good thing Elfy managed to upload his backtrace since it would be impossible for me to do it because the crash happened in my tests machine, which since then has been several times formatted to continue testing .
David Pires (slickymaster) wrote : | #13 |
I'm uploading the backtrace of the same crash on today's daily build (2013-10-14), since it's reproduced in the same hardware and performing the sames steps as described in the original report.
Since the uploaded crash from David also contained a CoreDump, which will potentially have sensible information, I have created a new version with the dump been removed.

Added thad-fisch's PPA and re-run the add user test without any problems. Therefore I can confirm that the proposed patch works.
