Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools
There is no way to create entries that look like this in /etc/network/
iface wlan1 inet dhcp
wireless-essid mySSID
wireless-key restricted aabbccddeeffaab
auto wlan1
Specifically there is no way to add the 'restricted' keyword to the set-up when a key is added.
This is required for WiFi on my Fujitsu stylistic st4110p (prism2 or orinoco, doesn't matter what i use on feisty. on edgy only the orinoco drivers worked) to work correctly with the slightly wonky AP set-up I'm using.
The problem is that this makes it impossible to use this interface in roaming mode, so i need to manually configure it for roaming and manually reenter the restricted keyword and key into the /etc/network/
Also, the dual interfaces (wifi0 and wlan1) are really confusing for new users. Is there a way to determine in a generic manner that configuration should only be done on the actual wlanX interface?
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported, but feel free to report any other bugs you find.
