Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor

Hello,
I've been using Ubuntu for a while now and it has been smooth with me, but after updating to 8.04 I've noticed that when ever I turn on the System Monitor and navigate to the Resources tab I start getting High CPU usage ( upto 99% on both processors ) and the computer becomes very laggy until I switch to another tab ( processes for example ). My system is up to date and still have the same problem.
I've tried changing the update interval to several values High and Low ones but still have no effect on the problem
I hope this report becomes helpful to improve this excellent OS.
