The RAM shown as being used doesn't equal the addition of the memory used by processes

Bug Description

The ram shown as being used in the resources tab of the system monitor doesn't equal the combined memory of all processes in the process list. Also 1.4GB ram displayed as used in the resources when just logged in which sounds like too much.
