gnome-system-monitor won't launch - Timeout was reached

I hope the attached information may help you determine why, but my gnome-system-monitor will not launch. I wish I could provide more information, but all I can tell you is I cannot launch it from Unity.

I've also tried launching it from the command line using the command:

gnome-system-monitor

The only feedback it gives is:

"Timeout was reached"

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Ubuntu 13.04 reached EOL on January 27, 2014.

I've tried recreating this bug with your release and was unable to, given the information you've provided. Please upgrade to the latest version and re-test. If the bug is still reproducible, increase the verbosity of the steps to recreate it so we can try again.
