Feature request: There should be back and forward buttons

Bug Description

The program kind of loses it's practicality when you can't go forward or backward in the contents of a folder. Why it's been designed this way remains a question but I would like that the feature should get implemented since I use it when I want to preview an image and that I just can't click next to see the next one is really irritating.

This feature now exists in Ubuntu 22.04 LTS if gnome-sushi is installed.
