searching for irc takes more than 10 minutes

Thanks Sergio. Was it a one time issue or can you reproduce? Could you attach the journalctl log from around the time where you hit the problem?
(oh, also I'm fixing the typo in the tag ;-)

Trying with 3.34.2 or now with the newer version that landed in focal neither show the issue, could be some server/network error hit and not handled correctly, difficult to say without more info, we need at least the journal log
