I sometimes can't go back to the main page

I press the back button, but nothing happens, I need pkill gnome-software and open ubuntu-software to return the main page.

Please respond to all of the following:

Do you have the same issue if you use a default Ubuntu kernel?
(I have 4.18.0-10-generic on my 18.10 box, 4.18.0-11 on my 19.04 box)

How often is sometimes? I just entered gnome-software on my 18.10 box, and went thru 25 selections hitting back and had it return each time. Is there a pattern you can select each time and have the failing-to-go-back occur? If there is, can you please describe it so I can do the same and hopefully see the same problem to help investigate it.

It always happens when I close the Ubuntu Software after I install an application.
