Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.

At a minimum, we need:
1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem.
2. The behavior you expected.
3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

1. From the Ubuntu MATE 18.10 Menu->System tools I selected "Software".
Then the window opened. I clicked on each of the "More..." buttons - nothing happened.

2. I expected to see more apps.

3. I saw only the original window without any changes.

After rebooting my machine I now find that the "More..." buttons actually work. I am a Linux newbie so I did not know that after installing apps from the Software Boutique I should have rebooted like in Windows. My mistake. Close out this bug report.

After rebooting my machine I was able to see more apps and was even able to install one. Then I tried to install Kile in the "Productivity" heading. I got 0% completion and the "Cancel" button was grayed out. I quit the app. Now whenever I start the app it goes directly to the Kile entry with no progress bar or Cancel button.

Obviously the code code for "Software" is not ready to be released. They should have stuck to the version for Ubuntu MATE 18.04.
