Cannot login to install snaps

Bug #1675445 reported by Alan Pope 🍺🐧🐱 🦄

gnome-software (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

I'm unable to login to gnome software on an up to date 16.04 system (a clean brand new dell xps laptop which has been dist-upgraded to latest packages in xenial)

Currently have version 3.20.1+git20170208.0.a34b091-0ubuntu1~xenial1 installed.

When I try to login it just claims my password is wrong. This sounds like bug 1616943 which is apparently fixed.

I tested this in a clean xenial vm up-to-date and could install and play ohmygiraffe. There was an apport crash which I submitted, but it didn't seem to affect the installation.

I also tested this on a VM and was able to successfully authenticate to U1 and install the snap. I also got a apport crash on snapd-login-service which I will raise as a separate bug. But yeah, I can't reproduce this bug here.
