Bug Description

I keep getting "Incorrect email or password" even though I know for a fact the email and password are correct. I am able to sign into Ubuntu One just fine on a web browser.

I was able to login and install the keepassx snap via the terminal. So this only happens when I try to login and install snaps via the software app.

I am having the same problem while installing any software from the Software centre. Even though the username/password are correct, I'm getting the same error. Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

I'm not sure why this was marked as a duplicate of "Ubuntu Software asks for an Ubuntu Single Sign-On account to install/remove a snap", as there is no problem with the software centre asking for a login.

The problem is that the login component of it isn't working, the original description could not be clearer of the problem:

I keep getting "Incorrect email or password" even though I know for a fact the email and password are correct. I am able to sign into Ubuntu One just fine on a web browser.

I have the same issue. Trying to login sudo snap login <email address hidden> does not work. However, login on Ubuntu One website works fine.

Just upgraded from Ubuntu 18.04 to 20.04

Before upgrading I was logged in through Settings > Online Accounts > Ubuntu Single Sign-On Account so I had Livepatch enabled. After upgrade I had some bug and when trying to report it, the web interface did not accepted my password. Changed my password, reported the bug, now since I changed my password, the Livepatch is complaining "An error occured when checking for Livepatch updates.". Went to update the password in Settings, but it won't accept the new password saying "Error connecting to Ubuntu Single Sign-On server: Provided email/password is not correct". The web version still works.

I am being driven mad by this constant problem. I have somehow got Livepatch to work but I cannot sign into the Ubuntu online accounts thing or my account. I have changed the password 3 times and each time I go to sign in it rejects the new password. I am running Ubuntu 20.04.

same here on brand new 20.04 LTS running in VM on HyoerV

SSO and Ubuntu One accounts work fine on webs, but Livepatch setup lets me enter SSO initally, then prompts for local admin, before coming back to SSO sign-in screen with incorrect email/password
