Bug Description
After running gnome software center to search a package, I closed it and tried to open synaptic. After entering the password in the prompt, I was informed that synaptic could not acquire the lock on dpkg.
Possible cause:
I think this could be related to gnome software not releasing the lock, as there was no dpkg operation running at the moment.
