I don't even have LIM turned on, and I still got this crash. The bug reporter said it was already logged and sent me to this bug.

Hi, I can't seem to reproduce this with up-to-date Xenial 16.04 and GNOME Software 3.19.92~git20160304.279bc80-0ubuntu3. What version of libglib2.0-0, unity-gtk3-module and gnome-software do you have installed?

apt-cache policy libglib2.0-0 unity-gtk3-module gnome-software

Hi,
Now I have installed:

libglib2.0-0 2.47.6-1
unity-gtk3-module 0.0.0+15.04.20150118-0ubuntu1
gnome-software 3.19.92~git20160304.279bc80-0ubuntu3

In up-to-date Xenial 16.04 Gnome software started, but notevery time (without any messages).

I am getting this error as I tried opening gnome-software from terminal.

I see it says the problem has been fixed, I just now performed an update and I still have the problem.

Hi, I had the same problem with gnome-software not starting at all.
I found a solution that worked for me here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1606238/comments/12

what Ibrahim is suggesting is to remove all files in ~/.local/share/gnome-software
and then the application will start.

Best regards/
