Bug Description

Hi.

I installed the new Ubuntu 16.04 on a netbook.

As this is a Daily Build the system always update. I wanted to test the new GNOME software (which replaces the old USC) and the new software center I uninstall Ubuntu core packages, so that you can not access Unity.

Is it a specific or general problem?

Thank you.

You'll want to add compulsory_for_desktop tags to the metainfo files of these applications: https://www.freedesktop.org/software/appstream/docs/chap-DistroData.html#tag-distro-compulsory_for_desktop
That will prevent removal of them.
