I have not seen any formal statement on what users are to expect in terms of previously purchased apps. I upgraded from 14.04 expecting to be able to re-install paid apps I had purchased in the last LTS. What is the official position on this please ?

Seeing that this is a new feature that seems to have been uploaded after Feature Freeze, am I correctly assuming a formal FFe needs to be submitted for it?
