[SRU] Update gnome-shell to on Oneiric

Bug #921343 reported by Jeremy Bicha on 2012-01-25
This bug affects 1 person
Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
gnome-shell (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

GNOME Shell fixes several crashes and some memory leaks and it would be good to get these fixes into the hands of those using GNOME Shell 3.2. It is also expected to be the last GNOME release for 3.2.

[Development Fix]
All of the changes have already landed in Precise gnome-shell 3.2.2-0ubuntu1.

The only non-minimal change is following Debian's lead in splitting gnome-shell common into a separate package. This was done so that we wouldn't have to deviate from Debian's replaces/breaks on gnome-shell << 3.2.1-6.

[Stable Fix]
Already pushed to lp:ubuntu/oneiric-proposed/gnome-shell and uploaded to the oneiric-proposed queue, but waiting for approval.

[Text Case]
1. Visit https://extensions.gnome.org/ from Chromium and make sure that installing a gnome-shell extension works.
Broken Behavior: extensions.gnome.org didn't work at all outside of Firefox in GNOME Shell < 3.2.2.

Also see the test cases for bug 853882 and bug 918208.

[Regression Potential]

there is missing gnome-shell-common (=, all architectures) for install. It sticks in the upload queue

Fritz, the missing gnome-shell-common should be fixed now or at least, within a few hours.
