Bug Description

I don't know why, but my gnome-shell crashes every time I try to search for an application with the keyboard, just after pressing the Meta key to call for the window view of gnome-shell.

Sometimes it restarts again, but sometimes it doesn't.

Hi,

Similar issue has been fixed earlier (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=666756) it seems that the version 2.34.1 of librsvg had caused problems, but upgrading to 2.35.1 did not.

On my machine, I definately have only "librsvg2-common" installed and the version indeed is 2.34.1, so I'm guessing that the fix might be as simple as upgrading that package.

I'll just answer myself, it seems that 12.04 has 2.35.2, so this time this bug is probably caused by something else.

I have been seeing this rarely on 11:10 and very frequently on 12.04. I didn't notice it being a problem untill recently.

It realy seems to have been fixed under 11.10. Maybe we should tab it for 12.04 only.

It is NOT fixed yet in 11:10. I have this problem on a regular basis. It happens when I watch certian movies and they get dumped into my recently-used section. For whatever reason gnome-shell's search is unable to handle bringing these up. I fix this by clearing my ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel

I can confirm that clearing ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel removes the problem in 11.10 temporarily. But this of course is not a long term solution....

Nvidia 295.33 seem to fix this problem. Can someone please confirm this and push 295.33 to be released.
