Bug Description
When I start a GNOME application, for example nautilus, the menu bar appers with a delay of ~0,5sec after the rest of the application . Maybe the global menu of the Unity Desktop has to do something with that?

This is probably due to the UbuntuMenuProxy patch to GTK+. It sure would be nice to get a build of GTK+ without it. Bug #809500 is semi-related where the same code restores the gnome-terminal menu even when preferences dictate it should be hidden.
