gnome-shell not installable - broken Packages

Binary package hint: gnome-shell

This bug referrs to the package gnome-shell in Maverick Meerkat (Ubuntu 10.10)

here a further dependency is not working out:

Every time, when I try to install this package from synaptic, I get this message:

gnome-shell depends on mutter, but it is not installable.
But I have mutter installed successfully, and that is what is wondering me.
So I think, gnome-shell needs to be updated to a new version to work sucessfully with mutter

I just chekd thi in my synaptic and it is as follows:

packages of mutter have version 2.31.5+git2010080
installed packages of mutter:

mutter-common: 2.31.5+git2010080
mutter 2.31.5+git2010080
libmutter-private0 : 2.31.5+git2010080

gnome-shell (not installable) version 2.31.2-1ubuntu1

So I think, that gnome-shell needs to be updated to the corresponding packages of mutter.

Please fix this up

The gnome-shell package in maverick repo is way too old.
Waiting for a new build.

I thought so too. And this is - as I think - the reason why it does not work out. And as far as my information from here is:

there will be a new build out soon. Perhaps you can work with this and fix this??

A newer gnome-shell_2.31.5-2ubuntu1 has been released.
That one has its issues but it is installable and works anyway.
So this bug has been fixed.
