Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-shell

Release: Ubuntu 9.10
Package: gnome-shell 2.28.0-0ubuntu2

Description: the favorite shortcuts in application area do not embed its running application if it is java based like eclipse.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Add eclipse 3.5 as favorite to application area of gnome-shell
2. Add IBM WebSphere Integration Developer 7.0 as favorite to application area of gnome-shell
3. Add IBM Lotus Notes 8.5 as favorite to application area of gnome-shell
4. Launch the 3 applications above, all run without problem
5. These 3 running application are not shown in application area with their highlighted shortcuts, but as 3 extra running applications. It seems all java application thread can not be correctly recognized just like docky2.

Please see attached screenshot for detail.

Could you check if this issue persists with the dock area in the stable version oneiric?

I have overseen the question after one year inactivity. Hope it's not too late. In recent oneiric stable release, the problem still exits. Please see attached screenshot. Gnome is 3.2 from ubuntu repository. The lotus notes and lotus symphony (both java/eclipse based) applications have this problem. Eclipse itself is however o.k.
