Bug Description

I'm currenlty using a Laptop Dell XPS 15 9520 with an Nvidia GPU.
Using a USB Type-C Hub - Model: HD292-Gray. It requires 2 USB-C ports to be use at the same time to be able to use 2 external monitors.

The Issue Only Happens at Work when I'm using this HUB.
At Home I have no issues using dual monitors with a Single USB C hub that's capable of outputing two monitors via 1 usb port.

ISSUE:

If PC is lock, and remains lock for a few minutes, then when moving mouse or pressing keys to wakeup the 2nd monitor is visible.
1 Monitor has the lockscreen waiting for password for the machine to be unlock.
But 2nd Monitor is completly visible.

This issue only happens when using this hub with 2 usb c ports.

The lock/unlock sequence can be broken by buggy gnome-shell extensions crashing when they get told to deactivate/reactivate, so please start by removing any local extensions:

  cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/
  rm -rf extensions

and then log in again.
