Bug Description

I have an XPS13 and am running Ubuntu in xorg because that is required for my Plover stenotype program. The program uses an external keyboard.
I need the onscreen keyboard disabled, because I am using the plover keyboard to input information, but I cannot do it, either through Settings / Accessibility / Typing or trying various terminal entries suggested by chatgpt. (It suggests disabling onboard, but the program was not installed, and installing it and then disabling it did nothing.)
