When I use a keyboard shortcut to lower a window, the window retains its keyboard focus.

Bug Description

This happens no matter which focusing strategy i choose (click to focus or hover to focus). Until a few weeks ago, the new top window would receive focus when using hover to focus.

This can be a security risk in that you often start typing in the wrong window.

Thanks. It looks like a lot of extensions are enabled. You can list them with:

  gnome-extensions list --enabled

Please then disable each one with:

  gnome-extensions disable NAME

and reboot.

Now make sure none are enabled:

  gnome-extensions list --enabled

and if the bug is still happening then please run:

  journalctl -b0 > journal-no-extensions.txt

and attach the resulting text file here.

You can also use the 'Extensions' app to disable them.

This has now been done, and the bug is still happening. The journal is attached.
