Bug Description

Running MATLAB 2023b with Matlab Connector installed suddenly crashed gnome-shell and returned to gdm. Has been running fine w/o the Connector but not sure it's related.

I just hit this on logout in Oracular. Prior to the crash I had been toggling the tiling extension and stress testing tiling using Google Chrome (as is also mentioned in https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/7045).
