Accepted gnome-shell into kinetic-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/43.1-0ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

I installed gnome-shell 43.1-0ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 22.10 and successfully completed all 3 test cases (ensuring all the GNOME sessions still work, ensuring all the packaged GNOME Shell extensions still work, and ensuring the captive portal popup still works).
