Huge amount of memory usage while resizing tiled windows

I opened two application windows, nautilus and gnome-terminal. Maximizing them both side-by-side and resizing them concurrently a couple of times in the middle seems to cause a memory leak in the gnome-shell process.

I wonder if this is specific to the qxl (virtual machine) graphics driver you're using...
