Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

The Brave browser is a 3rd party browser, and problems with that browser should be reported to the developers of the application.

You mention the Ubuntu workspace, but which you like mean `gnome-shell`. If it's occurring in other application besides the 3rd party brave-browser it's not clear to me sorry.

I've marked this incomplete due to issue being with 3rd party package. If the issue occurs within GNOME-SHELL or other windows and not just the brave-browser; please return the status to "New" and change the package to 'gnome-shell'.

Bug reporting is about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future users from hitting the same bug.

I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate in future, eg. https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community-support/709

It sounds like one or more of your keys are logically stuck down. Maybe the = key and maybe others. Please try a different keyboard.

If however you find other distros don't have the bug then this might be some kind of accessibility feature that's been accidentally enabled. Please:

1. Settings > Accessibility > Always Show Accessibility Menu = ON

2. Click on the new menu (person icon) in the top bar and ensure all of these are off:

   Sticky Keys
   Slow Keys
   Bounce Keys
   Mouse Keys
