2018-10-02 12:34:38 Paul White description New installation of Ubuntu 18.10, very few customisations made and I find that the right-click menu on window title bars fails to appear. Context menus do appear on application windows soI know that the mouse is working correctly. I previously saw this with GNOME Shell 3.29 and reported it in the Ubuntu forums: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2398652 but no-one else saw the issue so I went back to using 18.04 where this functionality works as expected. The problem seems to be my dual monitor set-up. I have a laptop with an external monitor set to act as the primary monitor. In that configuration the context menu fails to appear. If I set the monitors to "Mirror" then the context menu appears. When "Single" display is selected context menus also appear. Conclusion: Window titlebar context menus fail to appear in "Join displays" dual monitor mode ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.10 Package: gnome-shell 3.30.0-1ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.18.0-8.9-generic 4.18.7 Uname: Linux 4.18.0-8-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.10-0ubuntu11 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Tue Oct 2 11:59:11 2018 DisplayManager: gdm3 GsettingsChanges: b'org.gnome.shell' b'favorite-apps' redacted by apport b'org.gnome.desktop.interface' b'gtk-im-module' b"'gtk-im-context-simple'" b'org.gnome.desktop.interface' b'clock-show-date' b'true' InstallationDate: Installed on 2018-10-02 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 18.10 "Cosmic Cuttlefish" - Beta amd64 (20181002) SourcePackage: gnome-shell UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) New installation of Ubuntu 18.10, very few customisations made and I find that the right-click menu on window title bars fails to appear.
