Bug Description

Unknown cause, not actually seeing anything behave wrong or fail.

I had just been playing with efibootmgr (successfully in the end) to boot linux directly using efistub. I don't see how that's relevant though: when it failed, it didn't get anywhere *near* trying to start a graphical environment, and when it worked it worked entirely. But... that was what I was doing right before it happened, so thought I'd better mention it!
