Bug Description

I have Telegram portable binary in $HOME/Telegram, I can run it, but can't add it to favorites, there is just no such option when I right-click on app icon in the sidebar. It was possible with Unity in Ubuntu 17.04 and below.

Thank you for your bug report. That's a known gnome-shell upstream issue, you need a .desktop to be able to have it listed in the shell interface (dash or favorite), https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=654775
