Bug Description

If I want to open an application which needs su rights via pkexec I am able to type some characters until the message follows "Entschuldigung, das hat nicht geklappt. Bitte versuchen Sie es erneut." (it is german but I don't know the exact original string or find the original string out in an easy way. It says something like "Sorry but that did not work. Please try again") and the dialogue disappears before I am able to complete my passphrase or press return key.

Initially I found the bug by trying to start applications (ie gparted) via gnome shell.

I am using x64 Ubuntu 12.10 with gnome 3.

I have the same problem with GS on quantal. Both synaptic and gparted show the same behavior, gksu-ing them works flawlessly.

The original message is:
"Sorry, that didn't work. Please try again"

It's very likely that this is the same bug:

It affects me too.
If i try to start gparted with the commands "pkexec gparted" or "gparted-pkexec", it doesn't work.
But if i type "gtk-launch gparted" it works perfectly!
