Lock button doesn't work in gnome-shell

In gnome-shell 3.5.4 (quantal), there is a "lock" entry in the user menu. If I press it, nothing happens.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Yes, I can confirm this. The keyboard shortcut (CTRL+L) works fine. I suspect this is because GNOME Shell 3.5 seems to be tied pretty heavily with GDM 3.5 (which isn't available for Ubuntu at this time) but I haven't looked at the issue closely yet.
