blank screen instead of lightdm when logout from gnome shell

Bug Description

When I log out from a gnome shell session I get a blank screen instead of the display manager. If I close the lid to suspend and then open it again, I get the display manager and I can log back in.

This does not happen with Unity. When I log out from a Unity session I get the display manager without any problem.

I'm running Ubuntu 11.10 64bit, with gnome-shell version I already checked /etc/X11/default-display-manager, and it's set to /usr/sbin/lightdm, as it should be.

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10
Package: lightdm 1.0.6-0ubuntu1.6
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-19.33-generic 3.0.27
Uname: Linux 3.0.0-19-generic x86_64
NonfreeKernelModules: wl
ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4
Architecture: amd64
Date: Thu May 17 20:11:25 2012
InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64 (20111012)
SourcePackage: lightdm
UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install)

affects: lightdm (Ubuntu) → gnome-shell (Ubuntu)

Since today I no longer have any problem logging out of a gnome-shell session. I guess one of the recent updates must have fixed the issue, but I don't know which one. Anyways, the problem is solved. Thanks.
