I've just logged off and on again a couple of times and the issue goes away for me when I use the super key to open the menu. After this the button works for me

Are you clicking within the button or clicking on the corner of the screen? See bug 1873321.

Please remember to run:

  apport-collect 1875745

We need a new collection because the bug was assigned to the wrong package the first time, so it attached the wrong files.
