Opened Apps don't appear in dock

As described above. E.g. I've opened GIMP which isn't appearing in the dock (see screenshot). If I click on Activities I can see my opened apps. Maybe the dock crashed because of switching between portrait and landscape mode (see other opened bugreports).

Thank you for your bug report, some question
- was that a one time issue or can you trigger it by some way?
- is it specific to gimp only? do you use as a deb or a snap?
- could you add your journalctl log around the time of the issue?

Up to now this have been a one time issue which wasn't specific to Gimp but many other opened programs. I use the deb version of gimp. If it happens again I will post again an attach the requested log file.
