From Ubuntu 17.10:
Press Super+A to open the Show Applications view.
Press Super+A to exit it.
What Happens
------------
Super+A shows the Activities Overview instead of exiting the Show Applications view and Activities Overview.
Workaround
----------
Press Super+A to open the Show Applications view.
Press Super to exit.
